The 1st edition of
THE AFRICA FINANCIAL INDUSTRY SUMMIT, organised by the AFRICA CEO FORUM, will
be held on 10-11 March 2021 in partnership with the International Finance
Corporation (IFC) on the theme African Finance after COVID: reboot, digitalise,
transform.
At a time when the
pandemic hampers the growth of Africa?”s financial industry and constricts the
global economy, we want to unite the leaders of the financial industry around
the following challenges:
⬢ Insurance industry
challenges in the wake of digital Transformation
⬢ Exploring suitable
routes for developing bancassurance
⬢ how to help the
insurance sector change direction while navigating the current economic
climate;
⬢ how to best take
advantage of the new African Continental Free Trade Area to create a true
common market for the financial industry; and
⬢ strengthening
public-private dialogue with a view to reviving the economy and working
together to reach the financial inclusion objectives essential to the continent?”s
economic development.
The President of the
African Insurance Organisation, Delphine Traore will be speaking
during the opening panel on “Reinventing post-Covid African
finance” scheduled to take place on March 10th from 10:20am
to 11:20am UTC/GMT.
